9/11
September 11th, 2007not a happy anniversary today? i was in nyc when this horrific event occurred> i had a 9AM tanning appointment. When I was thru around 920a.m. i walked outside to real mess. People were running anc screaming all over the place. I frantically asked a vendor on the corner what was going on. He said there was a fire , or a small plane had crashed into a building in Manhattan. I ran back to the hotel where i was staying. the lobby was a disaster. We were told to stay inside! I went upstairs and turned on the TV, only to watch with helplessness as planes crashed and buildings fell. I ened up taking the train back home to Calif. a four day trip ion a chair. Packed with people just like me fleeing NYC. the airlines had cancelled most of the flights, hence the train trip. But it did not matter. I was a lucky one. i was safe and eating train food instead of plane food. Now our world has changed, not for the better. Security is tough and tight, but maybe not any safer. I continue with my life as we all do. Wondering, waiting, suspicious of others and looked at as a suspect as we travel aound our own country and the world. My heart goes out to the victims and the loved ones left behind. It is a different world.
